A new study: #getintouch – Customer touchpoints in banking

For years, banks have been talking about digitalization. But do the associated investments really meet customers’ needs? Are bank customers really that digital already? What role do e-banking, chatting, bank statements sent by mail, and the bank advisor play? And, when and how do customers use these touchpoints? The new study was conducted by the Institute for Financial Services Zug (IFZ) in collaboration with BSI, Finnova, and Swiss Post. It places the customer at the center and provides answers to the above questions.

The digital tornado transforms marketing and communication at a high rate of speed. At the heart of the transformation are automated processes that promote efficiency and the evermore-exact personalization of content and messages. The role of marketing: orchestrating the digital strategies of companies. This requires a critical analysis of the powerful potential of new technologies. Not everything that can be digitized must be digitized. Data by itself is not the new gold, it becomes a treasure only if it benefits customers or society. In partnership with BSI, the think tank W.I.R.E. conducted on a project over several months in search of answers about the future of digital marketing.
