Facilitating coronavirus income compensation through SVA Zurich: We do it!

Setting up a durable process for handling thousands of applications from the self-employed in only three days? Not a problem! To get it done, a fabulous team from SVA Zurich, together with BSI, worked hard throughout the weekend. And, promptly at 9 a.m., on Monday, March 23, 2020, the forms were online. Within less than two days, SVA Zurich then recorded about 32,000 calls to their informational page, and by Friday, they had received more than 14,000 applications.

SVA Zurich, a BSI customer since 2009, approached us on Thursday afternoon and requested urgent assistance with the implementation of the new Federal guidelines. We did not hesitate for long: When one of our customers needs help, we are there for them. What’s more, this was about helping people whose livelihood is threatened! You could not ask for a better reason.

Together, we designed an efficient and lean application process for BSI’s automation platform. The process is well-guided and consists of eight forms for the affected individuals to effortlessly submit their application for income compensation. The data is stored in a structured format and is transmitted to the ERP for further case processing. The process is entirely digitalized.

With many hours of work, close collaboration, and exceptional teamwork with the SVA Zurich team, we were ready on Monday by 9 a.m. to absorb the rush to the SVA Zurich website. And our system continues to process applications every second.
